May 2009, the Railway Arches on Bermondsey St were transformed into the brand new, innovative clubbing experience known as Cable. At once preserving the raw, enigmatic and industrial feel of the original space while adding its very own original twists and touches, Cable looks set to be one of London’s destination venues for clubbers the world over, with a potent and eclectic programming slate and a thrilling fit-out which will comprise of 3 rooms, including a parlour room connecting the 2 dance floors, both boasting their own bars, and a bespoke soundsystem by European sound specialists Nova. In addition, tucked away in their own little vaults are offbeat alcove seating areas adding to the exciting environment of this most unusual place.
And there is much, much more besides such as Cables 23½ hour licensing policy, or the fact that the venue opens until 8am on Saturdays and 6am on Fridays, or that it is smack dab in the middle of London, with access to numerous transport links, be it by Tube, or bus, or cab. And let’s not forget the music programming, bound to be one of the most eclectic and electrifying in clubland today. That is the only way to describe a club with past & future nights from Bugged Out, Mr.C with Superfreq, DC10’s very own Circo Loco, Mixmag, Zombies Ate My Brain, Neon Noise, Get Physical and in house night Future Flash with residents & headline acts on rotation. What can we say? London has done it again. See you up the front...
Cable reaches out to the clubbers as another state of the art venue & superclub in the making yet keeps the essence of intimacy that many superclubs strive but fail to capture. With a capacity of 1000 spread across three rooms it’s easy to lose yourself in what this venue has to offer yet at the same time makes you feel at home amongst friends and locals.
