Born in the vibrant city of Barcelona and raised just down the road in the nightlife-crazy beach town of Sitges, there was only one way Amnesia resident Mar-T was ever really going to go. He’s been resident at the Ibizan powerhouse since 1999, and after spending winter and spring in Barcelona putting on parties with his label WOW! Recordings, he relocates to the White Isle for the long, hot summer. He’s also a resident for Made In Italy – pretty much the longest-running promotion on the island.
He’s got a slew of excellent tech house groovers under his production belt now, and with his WOW! Recordings label, he’s brought the world tracks from the likes of John Dahlbäck, Valentino Kanzyani & Marco Nastic, Paco Osuna, Tobi Neumann, Karotte, King Roc, Martinez, Dino Lenny and his parter in crime Betoko. Clearly a man with a good ear for a hot slice of dancefloor grooviness.
His mix for us shows his strengths: tight mixing, excellent track selection, and all manner of cheeky, rolling tech and house grooves – with some memorable vocals along the way. This one’s got summer written all over it…

What’s the best gig you’ve played recently?For me would be the closing of Amnesia with Luciano, Marco Carola and Richie Hawtin, I just didn’t want to stop playing and Luciano was kicking my ass!
What have you got coming up? My new track
Laughing Gas together with Betoko is coming out on OKO Records at the end of January with remixes from Eriko Tanabe alias Davide Squillace, Dirt Crew and Delicious. I do the vocals in this track! I also have some new tracks with more classic house attitude but I am now on the vocals…will be finished by February.
And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?Keep pushing electronic music by buying the music. It’s cheap and now you can even choose a particular track from an EP. In the old days I use to pay 18€ for a vinyl that sometimes I did not even play…nd don’t buy the music always in the same internet shop, that makes a monopoly and everybody then plays the same music.
