For a decade now, the Nottingham-based duo of Inland Knights have been bringing a little sunshine into our grey British lives. Fitting in with the same West Coast + Chi-town sound of people like Mark Farina, Derrick Carter and Greenskeepers, they met on the free party scene in England in the first half of the ‘90s, and started releasing sunny, groovy, funk-fuelled, no-nonsense house music as Inland Knights on their own Drop Music imprint back in 1998.
They’re not hit-makers, nor do they follow trends or fads – they just stick to what they love, which is making up house, garage, tech-house, funk and jazz into irresistible dancefloor grooves. It’s not rocket science, but who cares if it makes you wiggle your hips? NRK, Om Records and 20:20Vision are all fans – and if you like your house music nice and groovy, you will be soon too…
