RackNRuin puts the style into bass music. Utilising everything from horns to synth-stabs and fattened, two-step beats, RackNRuin has been a staple production force since he burst into life though his Skitzo E – ask the likes of Toddla T, Dj Zinc, Fake Blood, Shy FX,Breakage and Boy 8-Bit why this young talent deserves to be aiming his sights high for the bigtime.

His haunting, deep, woozy yet bashy sounds – roping everything in from grime to bashment to garage, jungle and beyond – are replicated through his no-nonsense DJ sets, causing absolute mayhem on every dancefloor he touches. The remix credits read like a who’s who of eclectic targets to give the RackNRuin treatment too: Nas & Damien Marley, I Blame Coco, Aggro Santos, The Nextmen feat. Groove Armada, Ms. Dynamite, Zero 7 and more, a list that runs on for a seeming eternity. Recently, he’s been signed to growing urban and grime imprint Black Butter Records, for his hook up with MC Serocee and Illaman on ‘Righteous’.

He’s also gearing up for a tour of America too, - let’s hope the US are fully prepared to feel the force of Rack’s unique and heavily derived take on urban music when he heads over for his first tour. Skilfully combining elements of dubstep, garage, jungle, electro, techno and other genres in his tracks it's safe to say Rack N Ruin has successfully created a fresh sound he can call his own.
