Dusky are a creative London duo who are forging their own unique blend of progressive house and techno with a distinctly urban, London-centric edge. No strangers to hard work, they released huge tune ‘Lost In You’, which came equipped with an array of surprising remixes that flagged up some exciting new talent lurking in London’s underbelly such as T.Williams and Youandewan, both adding their own fresh and exciting stamp and casting Dusky’s progressive, musical tones further into the fractured world of underground electronica. For our Podcast this week, Dusky turn in an extra long, 2 hour mix that covers deep house, tech house, garage, funky and beyond. Get to know these two eclectic producers - who fully represent the current state of house music in 2012 - London style.

Sum up this podcast in 10 words...
House music with eclectic influences crafted with soul and musicality.

What’s your personal favourite track on it?
Probably Toche - Rotas (Darius Sarossian Remix). It’s one of the tracks we’ve been hammering recently and we’re totally in love with it!  We really like its garagey, techno-tinged sound.

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
A Tesco meal deal or tuna

What’s the best gig you’ve played recently?
It’s was a few months back now but the launch party for our single "Lost In You" at the Drop was wicked. Nice intimate vibes with a load of old friends. T. Williams came down and played a blinder of a set too!

What have you got coming up?
Playing a garage influences set for Found, Multi:ply, & Days Like That pres. Heritage @ Hidden. Looking forward to dusting off a few classic records that don’t get played enough. We are also starting our residency for Staunch  Corsica Studios on the same night - also playing that night are Huxley, Boddika and Artwork. Release wise, we've got "Flo Jam" and "Every Day" coming out on Dogmatik, a release on Will Saul's Simple and we are also looking at a remix mini-album based around our "Stick By This" LP - some really cool names on board so far, just teeing up the rest.  The latest single from the album is "Lost Highway", which is out now and also features "Three Colours" and the slow jam "Someone Like You" - the latter getting support from dOP, Terry Francis and Diesel from X-Press 2.

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
As Jerry Springer would say, “Take care of yourself, and each other!”  Oh and stay in touch with us at facebook.com/duskymusic ;-)
