One of the unsung heroes of the global house scene, Mastiksoul is without doubt one of the funkiest chickens we’ve ever encountered. Of African heritage and raised in France and Portugal, he’s been churning out the most deliciously groovy, tribal, rolling percussive house music feasible since the late ‘90s, finding fans in the likes of Tom Stephan, Danny Tenaglia, Terry Francis and Peace Division, bringing his super-cool sound to clubs and festivals worldwide. We feel he’s never really received the acclaim and success he deserves in the UK though, and want to see more of him. Promoters take note!

His awesome label 4Kenzo mixes up tribal riddims with tech house grooves and West Coast and Chi-town house music to awesome effect, and has featured luminaries such as Renato Cohen, DJ Sneak, Hipp-E, Rui Da Silva, the guys from Wiggle and loads more over the years.

This is a mix for sweaty summer sessions – kicking off with his usual distinctive sounds, taking a detour through a monkey-filled carnival, and finishing with some chunky funky big room techno grooves. NSFW!
