Legendary dance TV show Soul Train is currently being developed into a movie. Host Don Cornelius has allegedly linked up with Warner Brothers to create the comedy, which follows two male dancers as they get into "a lot of good stuff and some bad stuff as well."
The film, which is still in the writing phase, does not have a cast or a director attached as of yet.
Cornelius promised that Soul Train: The Movie will feature "lots of music, lots of comedy and a little bit of violence."...and lots of sexuality. "'Soul Train' has always been about sexuality," he says. "It's almost never been about guys, and almost always about girls. It's what has kept us afloat for these three decades or so."
Soul Train ran from 1971 to 2006 as one of the USA's most famous music programmes, showcasing performances from the biggest names in R&B, disco, soul and funk.
