Keith Reilly, owner of one of the world's most respected nightclubs Fabric, is set to open his second club at the O2 Arena complex in Greenwich this September. It's not going to be another Fabric though - it's a bigger space which will reputedly have a large main stage, and will allow promoters to put on more of a show/spectacle experience, as oposed to the straight-up club environment of the existing Farrigdon club.
The name of the venue is not yet confirmed.
Speaking to Steal-life.com in 2005, Reilly revealed the reasons behind the club. “I only really did Fabric ‘cos I couldn’t listen to other people who wouldn’t support the kind of music I felt needed it - was worthy of it really - and that’s what this was for. We wanted a big space to make this happen on the scale we wanted to, we wanted lots of rooms so we could do different things.” His brother Billy owned The Cross, The Key and Canvas, and still owns Pacha London and The Driver (soon to be Pacha Terrace), as well as a third venue in development.
