October will see the release of a book telling the story of Dizzee Rascal's life and rise to the top, with the provisional title of The Dizzee Rascal Story. Original title n'est pas?
The book will be published by Canongate Books and Dirtee Books – a new publishing arm of the rapper's Dirtee Stank label. Not entirely sure what else they're planning to release via this publishing imprint - Newham Generals colouring-in book perhaps? Smurfie Syco's Grime Annual?
It's not clear if Dizzee Rascal will write the volume himself. Nick Davies, Canongate's Editorial Director, says: "Not only is Dizzee one of the most talented and innovative musicians alive today, he is one of the most articulate and opinionated – as his lyrics testify… It promises to be a genuinely groundbreaking book."
There will also be an audiobook version (!) and a paperback version coming next year, while the main version will include original photos and song lyrics.
