The hiatus is over! Yes Bugged Out has been out of action in London since there March gig with Alter Ego, Surkin and Brodinski. But now after the month of April spent naval gazing and thumb twiddling they are back, BACK, BACK! with a very impressive May work out.
Those busy bees Simian Mobile Disco take time off from twiddling knobs for Peaches and preparing a brand new single for the autumn to headline the party. They’ve always got room for a Frenchman on there bills and this month Yuksek makes his Bugged Out debut with a live set which will showcase his forthcoming album (and much of his It Comes EP). JoJo De Freq has been a busy bee too with three tunes out this year already – Feel Your Mind and two versions of Brutality, Religion & A Beat - and another will be ready to soak up at this night. Man of many hats Casper C (the C is for C.D’s these-days having ditched the lap top) and Turbo’s UK representative Matt Walsh (aka Clouded Vision) will get the main room cookin’ til it’s piping hot. Over in the lounge – or what we have nicknamed the Bass-ment for this night – is Duke Dumont who is sitting proudly on one of the tunes of the year – ‘Hoy’ – which features “a kaftan-clad burst of resonant Arabic horns” (Observer Music Monthly, no less), Hannah Holland the mother of Bastard Batty adds to the bottom end with We’re Not Cool before Nightmoves takes it all cosmic til the end of The End. In AKA the brilliant Luke Solomon will be playing with a very special guest for his Little Creatures residency.
