DDD Warehouse Party - venue changed

DDD’s first party of 2008 takes place in Shoreditch, East London this weekend, with Daniel Stefanik (Moonharbour) and Chateau Flight (Versatile) joining the residents and the Phonica Records crew.

The venue has changed due to licensing problems – the council pulled the license on the planned venue Cordy House at the last minute, so the party is moving literally across the road to the Hewitt Street Car Park. Resident and promoter Simon Morell had this to say on the matter:

“The council squares have pulled the license on Cordy House at the last minute. We are f#cked if we are going to stay in and watch Casualty instead, so we are moving round the corner - literally. Just walk past Cordy house down curtain road and a few hundred yards round the corner is Hewett Street car park, a genius split level car park that has hosted some amazing nights in the past and is now playing host to DDD.  DDD had an amazing 2007 and the last party at The Key was a fitting tribute to a great venue (I say this with a solitary tear running down my well-crafted cheekbone).

There's no time for sentiment in 2008 however - just time to cram in some even better nights with the support of you lot and your fancy footwork. As we are technically homeless I have toyed with the idea of asking Aunt Rita to knock through the wall in her dining room and get rid of her 70's sofa and antique sideboard to make room for 800 people and temporary cloakroom. Sadly though she has recently died and her house has become the second largest crack den in London. It's what she would have wanted...like I said though - there is no time for sentiment in this business and we have ruthlessly decided to spend my inheritance on a crowbar and some disco lights. We will be squatting in various venues around London this year some big, some small but always perfectly formed!”
