The drum and bass pairing Commix have announced plans to fill the gap between, and indeed pave the way for, their forthcoming new album due at the end of 2012, with a collection of unreleased and otherwise unheard tracks produced between the years 2003 and 2008. The Compilation, entitled the Dusted LP is due for release this coming March on heavyweight imprint Metalheadz.
Commix' initial breakthrough with Call To Mind in 2007 was utterly unprecedented, in a time when maximal and over the top sounds were dominating drum and bass, Commix offered their deeper, stripped back and atmospheric productions such as Be True, Japanese Electronics and How You Gonna Feel all of which are still considered to be classics.
