A heavyweight package here from Bedrock as head honcho John Digweed and long-term production partner Nick Muir offer up a driving slice of hypnotic techno, backed with a rather large Timo Maas remix.
This is quite possibly Digweed and Muir’s toughest production to date with relentless beats fused with all sorts of little effects for those to latch on to on the dancefloor. From oscillating sirens to whirling swooshes and the bewitching main hook, this multitude of layers ebb and flow as the groove remains constant up until the breakdown which offers some respite before it’s away we go again. Superb.
Timo’s remix is first rate too with the German going down a more tribal route with bass-heavy drums kicking things off. Maas then loads his version with many of the original’s effects too in what is a breathless, rolling ride of almost 11 minutes that is impossible to resist.
This label has been one of the most consistent in dance music for over 10 years and Digweed, Muir and Maas have delivered another winner here showing that they are very much still at the top of their game.
