Let’s go to the disco baby! Huge pair of cuts here from Berlin-based Herr Poppcke. Destination Disco is the one for us, with what sounds like a huge Chic sample or thereabouts. Simple, filter disco, huge bassline, big builds, big filter swoops, huge white noise lifts…you get the idea. Joyous, camp, ridiculously fun dancefloor bomb – one to slip into a less assuming set perhaps to catch the crowd off their toes.
 
Far Away From You is even more gay (in all senses) and flowery, and very enjoyable for it. Will be a whiff of cheese too far for many though. One to enjoy while dancing around the bedroom, perhaps. Alex Niggemann gives it a chunky refit, looping and de-fromaging. Essentially, it’s just funky disco house.
 
Destination Disco, no matter what a no-brainer it might be perceived as, is essential. Good dance music, and nothing more.
