Making a name for himself with releases on four:twenty and Electric Sheep last year with a unique form of dubbed out house music, here Paul Lorraine joins the mischievous goingson at VVWI with two very slick tracks.
Move Closer doesn’t waste any time in getting its groove on, with almost all the elements of the track being introduced almost instantly and then looped out into a gorgeous slice of electronic soul. Euphoric and blissed-out, this is one of the strongest tracks of the year so far and Mr. Loraine's most accomplished track to date.
The second track, Secret Society. seems very at home at VVWI with stripped-back beats, esoteric undertones and hypno grooves packing a punch. No remixes on offer here, which is just as well as neither of these need their stems fiddling with.
Definitely worth checking out, and once again the cover art is worth a review of it’s own too.
