Tim Green can do little wrong at the moment, and this killer summer banger keeps that rep strong. With his new remix of Cassius’ classic 1999 also doing the rounds, he’s pretty unavoidable at the moment.
 
Tongy was playing this back in December, and it’s finally got a release on Get Physical – with big warm sub bass booms piercing through the loose, slow Latin and African percussion that creates that sassy samba style groove. Ethnic vocal samples are a bit overdone these days of course, but he’s found a beaut and chopped it up and layered it brilliantly. One to take the roof off at DC10.
 
Flote on the flip is dull by comparison – the monotone bass a world away from the excitement of Old Sunshine. There’s also a Dub of the original to enjoy
