Robot Man Ft. Nanchang Nancy - Ready For This

Fedde, Haji, Axwell and Gaudino are amongst a vast list who have already all got down and got the groove on for Michael Gray aka Robot Man's stirling summer busting disco tinged stormer Ready For This. After a small handful of tastemaker copies were given out late last year, Phonetic decided to add a song and some further mixes.

Michael's Original mix is a sublime deep burner with a certain funky swing throughout and some catchy loopy sounds and noises all working together for a full low down shaking workout. A real funk edge is brought out that gives it the power and strictly groove element behind the ethos of the track, but added to the mix are some deep dark and tough modern elements and effects that take the whole arrangement up a notch, not to leave you thinking its a pure funk-infused cut. The clever approach has really worked well and it's ever so effective on the floor.

Sandy Vee kicks off the mixes and a no holes barred dirty tough synth styled bass line right from the first bar leaves you waiting in anticipation for the hit to come in. A chunky deep swirly mood steadily creates and builds up the flow with some cool energy before dropping an even cooler bass line that has a great charging result.

Daley Padley provides a Sunday @ Space version, and from the title you can tell its going to contain some tough broody beats and bass with a clever underground twist. Nice percussive drums and a slow burning vibe to the pace keeps it more stripped back, with the vocal in refreshing doses. The spaced out deep breakdown with some cool delayed stabby noises keeps its well-developed mood and gives you a more subtle sublime take on the Original.

Up and coming talent Wesley S turns out an overhauled chunky powerful led mix. Bags of energy with punch and some cool filtered out vocals with loads of delay and effects and warping clearly sets the standard with a nu breed amalgamation of sounds executed for the floor.
Finishing the package off is Daniel Forbes, whose version is in a slightly deeper veined style to the other mixes it sits next too, with a slow and pulsing percussive drum infusion and asmoother intro to the groove. A kind of floaty vibe and deep bass continues the track along with further sounds and elements and catchy use of the vocal from Nancy. This ones a bit of a summer jammer.

Release date for this groover is TBC.
