Avoid Kris Menace’s mix, and skip straight to Chopstick! rework of the reasonable new Moby single. Harrowing, paranoid techy synths, warble atop the subby wave of a bassline, sucking you into the track under the punchy, sexy beats. Cool and groovy with a slightly fucked-up edge – just the way we like it. D. Ramirez’s Haunted Playground Mix takes it to a dirtier still electro-techno place, with crazy little synth hooks and hard house style, fizzing stabs all bouncing around on top of monotone, grubby bass and Huntemann-style beats. Tommie Sunshine rounds off the package with a fun electro, mix, groovy, anthemic and with enough twists, turns and subtle little flourishes to set it aside from the deluge of electro-guff out there. Uncle Buck’s slower, groovy version is cool enough – but soon bores.
