Germany produce damn good techno, and this chap, Lutzenkirchen, is no exception. His latest EP, Munich Clubbing Supreme is a very tight production; a perfect blend of dance-riddled tech-house and subtle funky beats.
The title-track on the A-side is some of the most easy-listening tech-house you’re going to find this year – simple yet intricate, with some lovely vocal play to lighten the track. Although a B-side, Lonely Phone Wants To Speak tries to steal the show as a brilliant piece of club magic based around the sound your speakers make when a mobile phone goes off near by. It really has to be heard to believed, but it will have club-goers around the world reaching for their pockets. The other B-side Foxy consolidates the collection with a chilled track complemented by trumpets to give it a slight eastern feel.
All in all, a solid set of tracks, it wont blow you away but definitely some funky beats produced by one of the best in his field.
