Data Transmission : Widget

We have an exciting new addition to the site in our lovely new widget. Download him and he'll sit quietly on your desktop, popping his head up as soon as we add a news story. You now don't have to keep checking the site to be always in the loop for the hottest and latest news out there.

PC INSTRUCTIONS
First – Go to http://www.dtwidget.co.uk/dtwidget.zip

Second – Unzip the download folder and then run setup.exe from the folder, don’t just run the setup.exe from inside the zip it won’t install the files.

Third – At the end of the installer there is a "Run Data Transmission Widget", it will now run the program and put a little icon in the system tray (the one in the bottom right hand corner of the start menu).

Fourth - If you right click on the icon it will give you a load of options.

FINALLY - The news will now pop-up when we add it to the site, to read the story just click on the title or just minimize using the - button ready for the next story.

MAC INSTRUCTIONS
First -Download the program from here http://www.dtwidget.co.uk/macdtwidget.zip or by click the download button below

Second – Double click on the downloaded file and it will uncompress it and then create another folder on your desktop with the installation files in it. Don't try and run the installer from inside the zip as it won't work

Third – Run installer.app this will put the files on to your mac, at the end of the installer there is a "Run Data Transmission Widget", click this and it will load up. The first part of the load it checks our server to make sure you have the latest version of the file and then it runs the program file.

Fourth - On the top menu in the right hand corner on the HELP menu there are a few options for the widget.
