Data Transmission began life in 2004 as a free, once-yearly mini-magazine containing interviews with artists playing in the forthcoming months at legendary London club Turnmills (RIP). The Data Transmission concept has now been revamped and extended into an exciting new online portal that aims to become THE authority on the global dance music scene. 

Backed by an experienced team of journalists, editors, designers and marketers, the site features the biggest, exclusive stories about the most vital and exciting people, clubs and brands in the scene, hot-off-the-press news stories, exclusive podcasts from the hottest names in dance music, club, gig and music reviews, and features tackling the burning issues in the scene. We also keep a close eye on the most promising new talent around, featuring and promoting them on the site before anyone else in our New Talent section.  Our DT-TV section aims to become one of the most popular video channels on the net for lovers of electronic music, featuring dance music videos both new and old, our exclusive video interviews with the hottest names in the scene, and footage from some of the world’s most exciting clubs and festivals.

We aim to strike the balance between being entertaining and informative, covering a wider range of dance music than any other editorial-led website, without prejudice. We inform our readers about every aspect of the dance music world - from festivals to technology to club politics and beyond. We are passionate about dance music and want to help push artists and events that we feel strongly about.
