It’s no secret that here at DT we love Novi Sad. And That Fort. And Exit Festival. And we’re particularly excited about this years event as it looks to surpass even the best of its previous incarnations with a series of stellar names added to this years dance arena. The history of the festival really is quite something and it's one of the only truly massive festivals we can think of that is a non-profit organization.Started by 3 students in 2000 as a protest against the Milosevic regime, fighting for political change and freedom, today the festival is still an NGO (Non Governmental Organization). One that promotes change and positive education, supporting many community and humanitarian missions, while throwing a damn good party. Oh and it also set in the moat of the fortress that makes it's home to that special moment when the sun meets the earth and one of your favorite tunes is belting through the soundsystem and feels as if it's drifting into your soul! Having built its reputation over the years through breaking and championing some of the best acts in the electronic music scene to Serbia, 2013 sees yet another peek into what's going to be a smashing year in the fortress.
In typical Exit fashion they’ll be tempting and teasing festival goers with staggered announcements of names to be added to the large electronically minded artists but have kicked off in style this year with the first acts to be revealed to be gracing the Dance Arena being none other than Seth Troxler, Dubfire, Pan-Pot, Matador live, Subb An b2b Adam Shelton, Apollonia & Deniz Kurtel. With plenty more still to be announced as joining the above and a headline performance by Thom Yorke’s IDM super group Atoms For Peace this summers festivities might just be the best yet…
