Label: OFF Recordings
Whatever Round Table Knights turn their hand to, the listener can be rest assured that it’ll be draped in classy overtones. Their maiden release for Andre Crom’s OFF Records is indicative of their rising stature too – and the occasion evidently, isn’t one that fazes them.
“So Good” really is exactly that too – a refined slice of house music that invokes the sunny spirit of Balearic pastures while simultaneously playing homage to an edgy old-school aesthetic. Its prevalent Latin flair makes it sound akin to a record from deepest Brazil rather than well, deepest Switzerland. A perfect tonic with which to escape these cold, wintry blues.
“Graciela” is just as sexy as its predecessor, with its sonic synths and cosmic hues acting as a pitched-down compliment to its younger brother. Teenage Mutants’ “So Good” re-interpretation completes the equation with a final touch of gloss that earmarks him as one to watch out for in the future.
