As we reported several weeks ago, underground hotspot Unit 7 in Limehouse, East London, was forced to close due to shooting outside another club further down Cable Street where the club is situated. It's STILL closed - and a petition has been set up to get it open again.

Here's what the owners had to say:
"Unit 7 Nightclub in Cable Street Studios, Limehouse, London is a independently run, dance music oriented venue which in two and a half years has gone from a derelict warehouse space running occasional parties to one of London's most promising venues, with high quality well organized events running every weekend.
Unit 7 provides London with a much needed space for it's clubbing community and a focal point for London's clubbing scene, which until recently was considered one of the best in the world, something it is in serious danger of losing due to the closure of many of London's successful nightclubs.
Our current situation is that Unit 7 must prove to the council that our venue is suitable for the local area and our existence is supported by the residents of the local community, the borough and the city at large, before they will grant us planning permission and we can re-open.
This petition is a part of the evidence we will present to the council in our application, your support could be vital to our survival so please take care to provide as much information as possible.
Many Thanks
The Unit 7 Team"
