As one half of Way Out
West, Jody Wisternoff has undeniable pedigree. The prog champions have been
creating their own distinct gorgeous, atmospheric, melodic house and tech for
18 years now, and their quality has never slipped.
But as a solo artist,
he’s lesser known – chiefly because he’s done less on that front. But the
quality is no less. His singles like Nostalgia and Starstrings are
absolutely stunning pieces of work, blending all the groove of funk-fuelled
house with the classy melody, arrangement and instrumentation that WOW are so
well known for.
His excellent podcast
runs through a selection of sounds, but always keeps the groove and the melody
at the forefront. Lush.

Brazil NYE, beach party with the sunrise is hard to beat.
What have you got coming up?
The next Way
Out West release will be a special EP with a bunch of album tracks remixed by
various artists. My next solo single Lassoo
is due for release on Anjunadeep in March. Oh, and the Gift is being rereleased
in March on the recently revived Deconstruction label, alongside some wicked
remixes. WOW will be touring Australia
at this time for the Future Music festival.
