We didn’t even know there was going to be a Moomins movie. Superb. If you don’t know what the Moomins are, they were a Finnish cartoon series about a race of do-gooding hippo-like troll things. Originally appearing in books and comic strips, they later migrated to the world of TV.
 
Anyways, it’s reported that Icelandic starlet Björk has written a song for the soundtrack for the upcoming Moomins and the Comet Chase film, written with long-term collaborator Sjón, who is apparently a bit of a Moomins buff.
 
On the subject of the song, she wrote on her own website "Hah! Luuletko että minä olen joku juoruämmä!" If anyone knows what that means, let us know. Clue: it’s in Icelandic.

Moomins and the Comet Chase will be released sometime in 2010.
