Trentemøller’s second album ‘Into The Great Wide Yonder’ coming in May
One of electronic music’s most – if not the most – talented producers, Anders Trentemøller, is due to release his second artist album this May.
Entitled
Into The Great Wide Yonder, it will be released on the Copenhagen producer’s own label, called In My Room – and we’re promised an engrossing journey featuring four vocal tracks, theremin, acoustic and electronic guitars, strings, bass mandolin and plenty more instrumentation combined with his crisp, atmospheric electronic style. On
Miss You from his debut album
The Last Resort, the main melody was constructed from a cheap wind-up music box that he bought in a shop in Turkey – with the notes played by the box rearranged to create the stunning, twinkling melody. So we can expect some similar innovation on this new release.
The first single,
Sycamore Feeling, will be released in April, with the album out at the end of May. His live band will return for a tour in the Autumn, which you will miss at your peril. Absolutely stunning.
Excellent news!
