Chems let-down at Gatecrasher SSS

An otherwise pretty decent Gatecrahser Summer Sound System was marred by poor weather conditions, and the death of a middle-aged man in the Cement tent on Saturday night.

The Main Stage suffered major damage from the wet and extremely windy weather conditions on Sunday morning, meaning that it was closed for the whole of Sunday. Of the bands scheduled to play on it during Sunday afternoon and evening, Crystal Castles and Dan Le Sac & Scroobius Pip played on the somewhat smaller MySpace bus, Pendulum played in the Metropolis tent, Chemical Brothers were offered a tent to play in but refused as they feared it would cause crushing due to the amount of people who would want to see them play, and Hot Chip are unaccounted for.

A middle-aged man was found dead in the Cement tent around 2AM on Sunday morning. Reasons for his death are as yet unconfirmed. The tent remained closed all of Sunday day and evening.
