There are 12 remixes of this track available, all seemingly done by Melt a.k.a. Tony Thomas (really, what is the need?) but don’t let that put you off – a couple of them are great.
The Tech Version takes a bouncy, undulating tech house groove and applies tinges of bubbly, minimal FX and percussion to it to make those edges a bit more jadged, while The Old Skool Version is the out-and-out winner. Like the ghost of old skool hard house pitched down to regular house speed, its rolling, deep, humping bassline is married to minimal pops, nicking hi-hats, mesmerising shakers and best of all – gnarly hoover stabs to fill out that groove. The Minimal Version is also worth a look in – still plenty of groove and swing, but obviously with less of a hectic sound.
