Liberate Tu Te Me

By: D4RK
Label: D4rk Records
Written by: dean zone
Rating: 8/10

DJ D4RK's label is quickly establishing itself as one of the premier hardstyle labels in the UK if not Europe in my opinion, and this latest release from the label manager is the latest monster to be unleashed upon the unsuspecting public

Starting with a snare-on-kick arrangement from the outset means you know this means business. A cheeky vocal sample adds to the mixability before a brain crushing offbeat bass skull fucks you into submission. Whilst it lacks the sheer randomness the Europeans seem to inject into their hardstyle, the clear structure only adds to the reasons as to why I like it.

More cheeky samples present themselves, all stolen from the seminal film Event Horizon (made famous in the hard dance scene by Paul Glazby's use of a Laurence Fishbourne sample in Beautiful). The bouncing break is maybe not as evil as it could have been given the use of sample, but it still works a treat.
