Burgeoning production duo Kid Dub & Liz Cirelli have created an exquisite, haunting masterpiece here – kicking off with unsuspecting, bubbling mini-tech beats before melodic elements are subtly introduced into the mix. Gentle, bit crushed chords pulsate rhythmically atop the deep, rippling bass, before a shrill, cutesy high end synth line (with plenty of glide on it to give it that zipping quality) pierces through the mix. The spooky, echoing ice-cream van tones in the breakdown have a sense of warped euphoria, and all the elements combine to make a beautiful, warm track that oozes character, mood, and a pleasant melancholic vibe. Absolutely stunning. Keep an eye on these two. ‘Our Weekend In Norwich’ on the flip brings on trancier vibes but keeps it classy, and is also worth a look in.
